Cognitive Analytic Therapy Informed Reflective Practice

One of the core aims of Cognitive Analytic Therapy informed reflective practice, as with all forms of reflective practice, is to facilitate the embedding of psychologically informed theory throughout a service. This enriches professional practice, and enhances balanced and compassionate engagement with our clients and the people we work with. CAT informed reflective practice offers “a containing framework that can empower teams to work effectively with their clients, by helping them express and make sense of their reactions to the client and build (and maintain) their empathy and understanding for them” (Carradice 2004, 2017 - Applying Cognitive Analytic Therapy to Guide Indirect Working)
